Kirksville arts association – The Kirksville Arts Association (KAA) is a not for profit organization serving Adair County and the greater Northeast Missouri region. KAA is governed by a volunteer board of directors and depends on hundreds of local volunteers throughout the year in support of its programs and fiscal well-being.

The Aquadome – The Aquadome is a non-profit venue dedicated to promoting art, music and community in Kirksville, Missouri. The venue is operated by volunteers—people with jobs and classes and real lives. We primarily host shows but are by no means limited solely to music. We’ve also hosted potlucks, craft nights, workshops, art exhibits, poetry readings, poetry slams, moonlit graveyard tours, and a mess of other events. We also rent our space for privately organized events.

Prometheus Radio Project – The Prometheus Radio Project is a non-profit organization founded by a small group of radio activists in 1998. Their primary focus is on building a large community of LPFM stations and listeners in hope the community will grow into a powerful force working toward the democratic media future we envision.

NFCB.ORG – The National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB) is a national alliance of stations, producers, and others committed to community radio. NFCB advocates for national public policy, funding, recognition and resources on behalf of its membership, while providing services to empower and strengthen community broadcasters through the core values of localism, diversity and public service.

Kirksville Area Community String Orchestra Facebook – The Kirksville Community String Orchestra (KCSO) welcomes all violin, viola, cello and bass players from 7th grade through adult who have played at least one year and can read music. The ensemble was founded to provide a playing opportunity for adults and encourage young string players in an enjoyable environment of camaraderie. KCSO provides members with stimulating music, mentoring by more experienced players and continued growth in musical maturity. The orchestra rehearses on Thursday evenings in the Kirksville High School band room during the fall and spring and culminates each semester with a concert. The Mid-Missouri Traditional Dancers (MMTD) -A not-for-profit organization, affiliated with the Country Dance and Song Society. The purpose of the association is to enhance the experience of, the understanding of, and participation in traditional dance.

Missouri Folklore SocietyThe Missouri Folklore Society was organized December 15, 1906, “to encourage the collection, preservation and study of folklore in the widest sense, including customs, institutions, beliefs, signs, legends, language, literature, musical arts, and folk arts and crafts of all ethnic groups throughout the State of Missouri.”
